New Domestic Violence Posters

The State of Washington now has a new set of required workplace posters that all employers must make visible for their employees.  The new Domestic Violence Resources poster MUST be made available and displayed where other  employment posters are displayed.

Contrary to popular belief, employers do not have to pay to obtain these posters, as they are free to download and print on-demand through the WA Employment Security website. The poster can be found here: https://esdorchardstorage.blob.core.windows.net/esdwa/Default/ESDWAGOV/about-employees/DomesticViolence-Poster_190812.pdf

All posters are designed to be printed on-demand on 8 ½ x 11 paper and can be produced in color or black and white. Employers must display required posters where their employees can read them (and if you have Spanish speaking employees, there is also a poster in Spanish).

If you don’t have access to a printer, you may call 855-829-9243 to request that posters be mailed to you.

This is also a good time to brush up on your knowledge of the Domestic Violence Leave Act in  Washington State. This law allows all employees in Washington State the right to take reasonable leave to get help or help a family member with domestic violencesexual assault or stalking. Find more information here:
