Onboarding begins at the point the job offer is extended and runs through the training period. All communications and activities with the new hire should align with your overall Company values because each touch point is the beginning of the new hire’s perception of your company, management style and their new role. The pre-hire communications are so important, as they set the tone for the employee-employer relationship. Think of it as a start of a relationship: the recruitment step is the courtship and now in the offer stage, you are extending the proposal.
